Update Chrome ASAP!
If you’re using Google Chrome as your web browser, make sure you run an update as soon as possible. There are a number of security issues in recent versions that have been fixed by the latest update. To check your version, click the three-dot icon in the toolbar, then Help and About Google Chrome. Under the Chrome icon, you’ll see whether an update is needed and your current version. The most recent is “88.0.4324.150” (which is clearly not meant for mere mortals to understand).

Court: Defendant can see source code of DNA testing kit
Corey Pickett is on trial for a 2017 shooting. A private company, Cybergenics, makes the program used to allegedly tie Pickett’s DNA to the crime. The court order to allow Pickett’s defense team to look at the source code is significant: they’ll be able to have experts determine whether or not the tools used came to a scientifically correct conclusion. Otherwise, the system used is just a black box – with no audit, it can’t be trusted.

Could Twitter start charging for features?
I spoke about this yesterday on Political Misfits. Bloomberg reports that Twitter is considering charging for some features, as its ad revenue grown slows. One of these features would be to “undo” a Tweet, or delete it after sending. Another would be limiting access to Tweetdeck, where users can schedule tweets and follow multiple streams at once.
